Meet the Experts

Biles, Cailey
This spring, the Library is pleased to offer Borrow an Expert, where you can book appointments with staff experts on a variety of topics. Looking for help with a resume or cover letter? Try signing up for a meeting with Cailey. Below, Cailey shares her interest in professional writing, her blind spots, and what people misunderstand about cover letters and resumes.

"I enjoy tailoring resumes and cover letters to fit specific job postings. Finding the right phrases and keywords to use makes me feel like I’m on an editing treasure hunt. I don’t have as much experience with Federal Resumes, but I know some great books and websites that offer helpful examples! People often misunderstand how often resumes are first looked over by a computer program (applicant tracking systems) before an actual person."
