Ashley Baril (left): "I am so excited to be running my first Boston Marathon with Team Brookline on behalf of the Brookline Library Foundation. I am a fitness director and pediatric obesity case manager at a health center in Roxbury, MA... I chose to run for the Brookline Library Foundation because all over the world, libraries are a safe place for children, teens, and adults of all ages to come learn, have fun, and feel welcome at no cost."
|
|
Elizabeth Bramson-Boudreau: "In 1999 as a twenty-something, I ran the Boston Marathon. It was hard. Vivid in my memories are the crowd in Hopkinton, the hills of Newton, my mother cheering along the course in Wellesley, and at the finish the medical personnel asking me, 'Are you crying from pain or are you just crying?'... I am running to prove to myself that I can, to be a role-model to my children ('it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon'), and, last but not least, for the Brookline Library Foundation."
