Summer Reading!

Summer is here, and that means summer reading! This year, you can explore a universe of stories and take part in the Library’s Summer Reading Program. We have programs for adults, teens, tweens, and kids with scratch tickets, raffles, and of course prizes!
|
|
|
Here’s how it works: Each time you check out materials from the Library, you get an instant-win scratch ticket (max one per day). Scratch off the coating to see if you win a prize. Then use your ticket to enter our grand prize raffle. We’ll hold grand prize drawings for adults, teens, tweens, and kids at the end of the summer. Name Our 3D Printer

We're so excited to welcome a new 3D Printer to the Brookline Village Library, generously funded by the Brookline Library Foundation, but we need your help choosing a name! Our staff helped us pick out several possible namesakes, but it's up to you to choose which one's the best fit. Vote here for your choice.

Introducing the Memoir Collection
|
|
|
Love memoirs? You're in luck! Coming soon, we'll have a new section of books for you to browse: the memoir collection. The memoir collection will be located next to the biography section at all Library locations. In the memoir collection, you'll find books about lives written by those who lived them, including autobiography. Books about lives written by another person can be found in the biography collection. Not sure where to find a book, or looking for a recommendation? Our staff is happy to help.

Flying High Dogs
|

Join us on the lawn next to Town Hall for an amazing show from four of the most athletic Border Collies on the planet. They'll perform with Mike Piazza, multiple world finalist and world record holder in K-9 Frisbee and the current #1 Professional K-9 frisbee performer in the world! There will be a variety of frisbee stunts and other entertaining tricks during the performance and lots of audience participation and fun for people of all ages. Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.

Writing College Application Essays

Are you a teenager who wants to learn more about writing college application essays? Join us for a workshop at the Coolidge Corner Library. Library Assistant Kenny Yim will introduce participants to the library's resources and show example essays. This workshop is geared toward students who have not yet started a college essay.
