Library Updates
Contactless Pickup
With Brookline’s COVID-19 risk status remaining in the green, plus the return of warmer weather, we’re excited to announce that all Library locations have eliminated the use of intercoms for contactless pickup. Our setup is returning to how it was in the fall; for complete contactless pickup details, please visit our website.
Book Donations
As of today, the Library is once again accepting book donations! You can donate books at any Brookline Library location. At the Brookline Village Library, please bring your donations to the loading dock off of School Street. At the Coolidge Corner and Putterham Libraries, put your donations through the book drop. Please note that we cannot accept magazines or textbooks.
Book Sale
The Friends of the Library Book Sale will reopen on Wednesday, April 14. The outdoor Book Sale will be available during operating hours at all three Library locations, weather permitting.
Picking up Holds
Over the past months, we have been giving patrons extra time to check out items that are ready for pickup. As we enter spring, we will be returning to the one-week deadline for picking up holds. Beginning Tuesday, April 20, patrons will have one week to check out holds that are ready for pickup. Materials that have been on the hold shelf for more than a week will be put back into circulation.
