Summer Eats: Matt Heaton Family Concert

Join us and special performer Matt Heaton for an interactive, fun concert for families and kids of all ages at Summer Eats. Enjoy a meal, a performance, and stop by our Library table for information and free giveaways.

FrankenS.T.E.A.M. Robotics

Brookline Village
Thursday, August 11,
Session 1: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Session 2: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Learn all about S.T.E.M. and robots with Tony Ghelfi from FrankenS.T.E.A.M in these two identical sessions.
For kids going into grades 2-6. Free tickets will be available at the Children's desk half an hour before the program starts.

Drop-in Tech Time

Wednesday, August 12, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Drop in to our Tech Time session in Meeting Room A and learn how to use library apps and get answers to basic tech questions. Please bring your own phone, tablet, or laptop. Help sessions are limited to 15 minutes and one question per person.

Button Making: National Honeybee Day

Come to the Putterham Library and learn how to use our button maker in preparation for National Honeybee Day. This is a drop-in event that will take place near the front desk of the library. This event is recommended for all ages.

Farm Fresh with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society

Celebrate our Plant a Seed, Read! summer reading program with a visit from the the Massachusetts Horticultural Society's Plantmobile! You'll learn about agriculture and the food we eat every day and get a taste test of farm-fresh fruits and veggies.
For kids ages 4 and up. Capacity is limited and free tickets are available at the children’s desk starting at 3:30 PM.

Visible Mending: Personalize Your Denim

Ready to give your favorite jeans a second life and a splash of personality? Join visible mending instructor Mariko Sugimori for a fun workshop where creativity meets sustainability. Beginners are welcome. Attendance is limited -- get your free, first-come, first served ticket at 6 p.m. at the Hi! Desk.

Twist and Shout Balloon Magic Show with Brie's Balloons

Join us for a magical time with Brie's Balloons! This balloon magic show is geared for ages 3-8. The first 45 minutes will be a show, followed by an hour of balloon twisting!
Free tickets will be available at the Children’s Desk at 10 AM.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Brookline Village
Monday, August 17, All Day
Send your stuffie to a sleepover at the Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary! Drop your stuffed animal off at the Children’s Desk of the the Brookline Village Library anytime between 10 AM on Friday, August 14 and 5 PM on Sunday, August 16 and pick them up after 6 PM on Monday, August 18, along with a bag of goodies from their adventure. Then keep your eyes peeled for a special story and photographs that will be sent to your email and be posted on the library website!

Summer Sessions: Nature Collaging

Tuesday, August 25, 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Enjoy our Plant a Seed, Read theme this summer! Celebrate everything that nature has to offer by making it into a collage piece to take home.
This program is intended for children ages 4-10 and accompanying siblings and grownups. No ticket required!
