Speaking from the Heart: A Diversity of Brookline Stories Series

Brookline Village

Saturday, March 1 at 2 PM

Once a month, January through April, this series will feature varied voices of Brookline, telling of their experiences and lives. In March, Eric Hyett will discuss his childhood growing up in Brookline. The event will be moderated by Barbara Brown.

Hand Sewing with Hipstitch

Coolidge Corner

Tuesday, March 4 from 5 to 6 PM

Learn beginner stitching skills with local crafting staff from Hipstitch and bring home your own handmade plush toadstool! Registration is required and will open on February 4, and participants should be ages 6-10.

Canines at Coolidge Corner: Read to a Dog

Thursday, February 27 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM

Reading is more fun when you’re reading to a dog! Our specially trained therapy dogs are accompanied by their human handlers, and will sit quietly while you read aloud to them. Bring a favorite book, and relax while you read to a friendly, furry, four-legged friend! For kids grades K-4. Sessions are 15 minutes and registration is required.

Children's Library of Things Survey

The Brookline Children's Library of Things includes items such as puzzles, cake pans, Yoto players, sensory kits- anything that’s not a book! Fill out our short survey to tell us what you think we should add.
