Join special performer Matt Heaton for an interactive, thirty minute singalong concert! This program is for families and kids of all ages, but may be most appealing to kids ages 0-5.

Citizen Workshop

Brookline Village
Tuesday, January 13, 12 PM to 5:30 PM
Join Project Citizenship in Hunneman Hall for free legal help for Green Card holders applying for U.S. Citizenship.

Salamanders Novels in Verse Book Club

Tuesday, January 13, 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM
Meets every two weeks through March 24
Our Salamanders book club is a novel in verse book club for kids grades 3-5. Each meeting includes a discussion of the book and an activity. Registration is required and includes all six sessions of the club.

Thursday, January 15, 10:30 AM to 11 AM
Join us for interactive stories, songs, and movement on Thursday mornings in Hunneman Hall. Be prepared to sing, dance, and shake your sillies out! This program is aimed at children ages 0-5. Please stop by the Children’s Room Desk for a ticket, which we will begin handing out at 10 AM.

French Storytime – L'heure du Conte en Français

Confused about AI? Join us and presenter Dave from Therapy Gardens' SeniorU -- you'll be shown what all the fuss is about, caught up on the latest developments, and then have the opportunity for Q and A in a fun and supportive setting.

MLK Day Celebration and Exhibit

To mark MLK Day 2026, January 19, the Town of Brookline MLK Celebration Committee presents its annual event honoring the life and values of Martin Luther King, Jr., at the Coolidge Corner Theatre at 3pm. The event is FREE, but tickets must be reserved at Coolidge.org/MLK.

Our exhibit in the lobby of the Brookline Village library presents background on the featured presenters: keynote speaker, Dr. Noliwe Rooks, Brown University; Regie Gibson, first Poet Laureate of Massachusetts; and Allison Adair, Poet Laureate; and related Civil Rights Movement content, including the story of Lift Every Voice and Sing, the “Black national anthem.” Additional information on the MLK Committee page on the town website.
