Queer Art Night with Alex Makes Art

Brookline Village Library

TUESDAY, December 12 at 6:30 PM

Join us for a cheerful evening of crafting and queer community building. Alex Makes Art will be leading a night of DIY! You’ll learn how to make your own gift wrap by carving potatoes and stamp, stamp, stamping. There will also be a buffet of bits and bobs to create unique decorations. This event is open to all adults, no registration required.

K-Pop Photocard Trading Event

SATURDAY, December 16 from 1-4 PM

Join K-Pop in Mass and local K-Pop fans for an afternoon of photocard trading, toploader decorating, and games! Fans can bring their own personal photocards to trade with other fans. There will be a toploader decorating station, music, and games – including K-Pop Guess Who and K-Pop Bingo. This event is open to teens and adults.

Classic Literature Reading Group

Have you always wanted to explore classic literature but never had a chance to read it in a class? Or maybe you want to revisit titles you read when you were in school. Here’s your chance! Guided by Professor David Green, the Classic Literature Reading Group will delve into the work of renowned writers, with plenty of time for discussion, analysis, and questions. Join us this week to discuss Hamlet.

Making Autobiographical Comics with Jonathan Todd

Join local graphic novelist Jonathan Todd in this comics-making workshop about making autobiographical comics. For kids ages 8 and up. Limited to 20 participants. No registration required.

Tween Crafternoon: Shrinky Dinks & Perler Beads

Spend an afternoon crafting in the Tween Room! Create fun works of art using both Perler beads and Shrinky Dinks. For tweens in grades 5-7. No registration required. As supplies last.

Jeopardy at the Library

Come show off your trivia knowledge at our Library Jeopardy night! Work with a team of up to 4 friends to compete for a prize. This event is for ages 5-9.

Pint Size Yoga

SATURDAY, December 16 at 11 AM

Join us for Pint Size Yoga with Carol Kagan! Little ones will be guided through stretching, breathing, and age appropriate yoga poses along with dancing and games. This program is for kids ages 4-6 only. Free tickets are required for this program. You may get your ticket from the children’s desk at the Brookline Village Library starting at 10:30 AM on the day of the program.

Advik’s Platonic Solids and Mattias’ Dinosaurs - In our flat case, Advik is displaying his collections of platonic solids, 3D shapes with identical faces. In our wall case, Mattias is displaying his dinosaur collection. On display through December 18.
