Black History Month at the Library
|
|
|
The Library is celebrating Black History Month with programs and displays for all ages! Adults are invited to join us for our Douglass Day Transcribathon on February 14, where we'll help the Library of Congress transcribe Frederick Douglass' correspondence. Kids are invited to learn about the work of Black illustrators, and create their own art, at Kids Celebrate Black Artists on Friday, February 9. Read on for more programs - including Hands-on-History for kids and Black Girl Love: Indie Romance Writers Panel for adults - and stop by the Library to see displays highlighting Black history and culture!

Celebrating Lunar New Year

Join us at the Library to celebrate Lunar New Year! We'll have Wish Tree activities at all Brookline Library locations beginning Friday, February 9. And we're pleased to present a series of events for adults and kids of all ages over the coming weeks. Read on to see our upcoming programs, and save the date for our Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 24 at 3 PM at the Coolidge Corner Library - featuring the Gund Kwok Asian Women’s Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe!

The Library is excited to announce the launch of our new catalog! This new catalog has the same information and resources as before, now with a new design and extra features. To get familiar with the new catalog, we invite you to attend an orientation session on February 15, 18, or 21 in Hunneman Hall. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore the new catalog here!
