Star Wars Day

Celebrate Star Wars Day at the Library on Saturday, May the Fourth! Take part in a Star Wars-themed scavenger hunt; try your hand at a trivia challenge; and journey to a galaxy far, far away with our green screen photo booth. Then craft your own lightsaber, yoda ears, and more. This event is for all ages. Costumes welcome!

As part of our celebration, we’re thrilled to host lightsaber demonstrations presented by Boston Lightsaber Stage Combat Club. Boston Lightsaber will hold a demonstration at 2 PM and repeat the same performance again at 3 PM.

Join us for a concert of klezmer music! The KMN Klezmer Trio features Kirsten Lamb on upright bass and vocals, Michael McLaughlin on accordion, and Nat Seelen on clarinet. The trio will perform a set of original dance tunes and arrangements of traditional klezmer music showcasing their virtuosic treatment of traditional forms and styles.

Boston Theater Company’s Teen Touring Troupe presents Macbeth. Step right up! Join ringmaster Duncan, the daring trapeze artists Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, and more, under a big top full of magic and mystery: the Scotland Circus. Boston Theater Company’s Teen Touring Troupe, featuring actors in grades 8-12, brings Shakespeare’s classic tale of ambition, power, and destiny to the stage in a new and innovative setting. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Approximate run time is one hour.
