Halloween at the Library

The words Trick or Treat written in orange text over an orange background with fake spider webs and eyeballs and gummy worms around the edges. Giving a spooky vibe for Halloween!

TUESDAY, October 31

The Library is ready to celebrate Halloween with a variety of activities this week. Come visit and join us!

Are you trick-or-treating? Stop by the front porch of the Brookline Village Library from 5-7 PM and say hello! Dress in costume, or just show your Halloween spirit, for a candy or non-candy treat. Closer to Coolidge Corner or Putterham? We’ll be handing out treats from the desks too, all afternoon long. Adults and kids of all ages are welcome.

Vote in our annual Battle of the Pumpkins! Every year, our staff decorate pumpkins, and you get to choose your favorites. Cast your vote anytime through Halloween day — winners will be announced on November 1.

Drop by the Brookline Village Children's Room to see our new addition to the space: a dollhouse! We're debuting the dollhouse on Halloween, decorated for the night's festivities. Complete our miniature scavenger hunt and get a special Halloween treat (while supplies last). The dollhouse has been decorated by our staff and is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.
