Library Connection Delivery Service Returns!

The Public Library of Brookline is pleased to re-introduce Library Connection, a program providing increased access to information and library services through delivery of library materials to Brookline residents that are permanently or temporarily homebound. The anticipated start date for services is December 1, 2023.
|

All Public Library of Brookline locations will be closed Saturday, November 11 for Veterans Day. Regular hours will resume Sunday, November 12.

A Day of Fall Food
|

We are delighted to present a pair of virtual programs - both focusing on fall food - on Tuesday, November 14. Join us on Zoom for one or both!

Tuesday, November 14 at 3 PM - Chefs and sisters Mei and Irene Li - co-founders of Mei Mei and authors of Perfectly Good Food - will discuss ways to cook the food you already have and some of their favorite use-it-up recipes, with a special focus on reducing food waste around the holidays.

Brookline poet laureate Jennifer Barber hosts four poets from surrounding towns – Valerie Duff, Sarah Kafatou, Gregory Lawless, and Daniel E. Pritchard – each reading four of their original poems. The reading will be followed by a brief Q & A. Learn more about the poets here!

Learn a printmaking technique using potatoes and paint. DIY potato stamps will be composted at the end of the program. For tweens and teens in grades 5-12. No registration required. As supplies last.

Kids can lend a hand to Eustace the Unicycling Unimonster, make friends with a Fiery Fanged Worm, cheer for Agnes the many-legged Acropod, and more!

Painting Through Nature

Join us for another amazing art program for children ages 5 to 9 with the Brookline Arts Center! In this workshop, kids will create artwork filled with interesting creatures and plants while exploring paint as a medium. Kids will learn how to create their own colorful paintings step-by-step with lots of room for creativity. This program does not require registration but will have a limited capacity, so please arrive in a timely manner.
