Memoir Writing Workshop: Family & Community Traditions

Do you have memories from your life you’d like to capture in writing? Many of us grew up with family or community traditions, rituals, and customs. Some were daily or weekly events (watching sports matches, Sunday brunch), while others took place on annual holidays or special occasions (weddings, graduations). From the people involved to distinctive foods, locations, clothing, and music, these memories can be sharply etched in our minds.

Come join Dr. Miriam Roslayn Diamond, and follow easy steps to identify and write a short memoir about a tradition you experienced in your early life. Everyone will have time to write and the option to share their memoir. We’ll have pens and paper on hand, but you’re welcome to bring a journal or laptop if you prefer.

This event is generously sponsored by the Library Trustees.
