Brookline Poetry Series
Since 2001, the Brookline Poetry Series has been a quality venue for the best contemporary voices in American poetry, both published and yet-to be-published, a place for a multiplicity of poetic voices, and a series particularly dedicated to featuring the work of Brookline and Boston area poets.
Each month, our prominent featured readers are followed by our open mic, named the Best in Boston in 2005 by the Boston Globe. All poets are welcome to sign up.
The Brookline Poetry Series was founded in the spring of 2001 by our friend and fellow poet Diane Collins Ouellette. Diane died of cancer shortly after launching the Series. Her vision continues to guide our work.
The Series directors are Jennifer Barber, Susan Carlisle, Susan Jo Russell, and Aimée Sands.
