Tuesday, June 16th: Join us to learn about and make zines in preparation for our Queer Zine Fest! Zines are self published print works typically produced in small, limited runs.
Tuesday, June 16th: Join special performer Matt Heaton for an interactive singalong! This program is for families and kids of all ages, but may be most appealing to kids ages 0-5. This will be a thirty minute concert.
Wednesday, June 17th: The Library is celebrating Pride – with our trusty button maker! We have supplies to make buttons featuring a wide range of Pride flags and pronouns. Stop by the Coolidge Corner Library, and we’ll make a button or two for you.
Wednesday, June 17th: Listen to Olivia Rodrigo’s new album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love at the Putterham Library. Candy will be provided. This event is for grades 5-8.
Thursday, June 18th: Calling all fairy folk! Join us from 4-5 PM on Thursday, June 18th in the garden outside of the Children’s room to build fairy houses out of natural materials. This is a drop-in event for kids ages 4-9.
Thursday, June 18th: In this class you will be introduced to painting with watercolor, including techniques in color mixing, observational painting, and composition. At your own pace you will learn how to paint still lifes using watercolor in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Saturday, June 20th: Come celebrate Pride at the Brookline Village Library at our first Brookline Queer Zine Fest! Attendees will be able to purchase zines and art from local artists. The Brookline Booksmith will also be providing a collection of free zines.
