Monday, July 6th: Come to the Putterham Library and learn how to use our button maker for Shark Week. This is a drop in event that will take place near the front desk of the library.

Monday, July 6th: Ever wondered about butterflies? Come celebrate summer reading and learn about butterflies with expert Jerry Schneider from Vermont! After, we’ll do a fun butterfly-themed t-shirt craft! All t-shirts are provided.

Tuesday, July 7th: Long ago, the Jade Emperor held a great river race to choose twelve animals to represent the years and to help people keep track of time. Join the puppeteers from Shadow Joy Lab for a performance of “The Great Zodiac River Race.”

Tuesday, July 7th: Calling all fairy folk! Join us from 4-5 PM on Thursday, July 9th in the garden outside of the Children’s room to build fairy houses out of natural materials. This is a drop-in event for kids ages 4-9.

Thursday, July 9th: Pairs or groups of kids, tweens, teens, and accompanying grownups are encouraged to register together to paint your own adorable corgi wearing a red bandanna with a heart, customized with your own background or cute accessories!

Thursday, July 9th: To close out our Pride festivities, The Public Library of Brookline is offering a free screening of Moonlight (2016) in partnership with the Coolidge Corner Theatre.

Sunday, July 12th: Looking to pick up some new plants or trade away your excess ones? Join us for the Public Library of Brookline’s Summer Reading Plant Swap!
