By T: Take the D Train (to or from Riverside) of the Green Line to the Brookline Village stop. From the station, cross the small angled parking area to Station St. and walk left to Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington at the Post Office. Cross where Washington Street veers off to the left (Brookline Bank and gym on the corner, across from the Magnolia Smokehouse). Walk on Washington nearly 2 blocks. You will pass the Town Hall on your right and the Public Safety building on your left. The Brookline Village is on your right up a small incline, directly across from the Courthouse.

By Bus from Forest Hills Station or Center Street in Jamaica Plain:

Get off at the intersection of South Huntington and Huntington. Walk to the left under the Riverway overpass, into Brookline Village. Take a right at Washington St. Cross where Washington Street veers off (Brookline Bank and gym on the corner, across from the Magnolia Smokehouse). Walk on Washington nearly 2 blocks. You will pass the Town Hall on your right and the Public Safety building on your left. The Brookline Village is on your right up a small incline, directly across from the Courthouse.. (Note that from Copley Sq. the Green Line D-Train to Brookline Village is a much better option. The #39 bus is the only direct way from Forest Hills and Jamaica Plain, but the Library is nine or ten blocks from the bus stop. By Bus from Brighton Center or the hospitals along Brookline Ave. in Boston:

This stops right in front of the library, “Washington St & Cypress St” stop.

By Bus from Allston, Cambridge/Harvard Square, or Dudley Station in Roxbury:

66 – Harvard Square – Dudley Station via Allston & Brookline Village

Get off at Harvard St & Aspinwall St. Go one block up School Street and take a left onto Washington St. The Library is up a slight incline on the left. (School St. is to the left of Harvard St. when heading toward Allston and Cambridge, to the right when coming from Allston and Cambridge.)


Coolidge Corner Library

By T: Take the C Line (to or from Cleveland Circle) of the Green Line to the Coolidge Corner stop. Cross to the northeast corner, by the CVS. Walk east down Beacon Street toward Boston. Take first left onto Pleasant Street. The library is a short distance on the right.

By Bus from Brighton Center:

Schedule and Route Map #65 Brighton Center – Kenmore Station via Washington St.

Get off at Washington Square (“Washington St & Beacon St” stop). Walk east toward Boston down Beacon St. about 6 blocks to Pleasant St. or take the Green Line C train inbound and get off at Coolidge Corner (Harvard and Beacon St.).

By Bus from Allston, Cambridge/Harvard Square, or Dudley Station in Roxbury:

66 – Harvard Square – Dudley Station via Allston & Brookline Village

Get off at Coolidge Corner (“Harvard St & Beacon St.”). Cross to the northeast corner, by the CVS. Walk east toward Boston down Beacon St. one block to Pleasant St. Take a left onto Pleasant, and go about one block. The Coolidge Corner Library will be on your right.


Putterham Library

By T: There is no T stop near the Putterham location. However, you can make a bus connection (#51) by taking the Orange Line to Forest Hills, the “C” car of the Green Line to Cleveland Circle, or the “D” Car of the Green Line to Reservoir stop.

By Bus: The #51 Bus between Forest Hills Station and Cleveland Circle passes right by the Putterham Library. Get off at either the “145 Grove St opp Bellingham Rd” stop or the “Grove St & South St” stop. Schedule and Route Map #51 Bus


Elderbus

The Council on Aging runs an inexpensive (suggested donation 50ยข as of 12/6/2016) shuttle bus service for seniors that makes stops at both the Brookline Village and the Coolidge Corner locations several times every week day.
