All Current Exhibits  July 3, 2023
The Brookline Commission on Disability has put together this display in honor of Disability Pride Month, with assistance from the Perkins Library.
Devices like “Talking Books,” an Ear Horn, a Brailler, and a Shake-Awake Alarm are all displayed to showcase how different devices and advancements in technology have assisted people who are Blind and Deaf with communication and with activities of daily living.
The Commission on Disability typically meets via Zoom on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM (times may vary in the summer). If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Sarah Kaplan, ADA Coordinator at skaplan@brooklinema.gov or 617-730-2329.
