After-School Activities

Pink and purple backpack

If you like variety, then you’ll love our new After-School Activities program! Kids ages 5 to 9 can join us on Wednesdays from 3 to 4 PM in Hunneman Hall for dynamic and engaging activities. Programs include art projects, STEM programs, literacy activities, and more! This page will be updated at the beginning of each month, so be sure to check back to see our new program offerings!

  • December 7: Early Release Movie at 1 PM. Watch a family friendly move on early dismissal day
  • December 14: Paper Roller Coasters. Design your own roller coaster using only paper! What kind of curves, twists, and loops can you make to get a marble to the bottom?
  • December 21: Woven Placemats. Practice your paper weaving skills as you make your very own placemat!
  • December 28: NO PROGRAM.

Most programs will be drop-in programs, but occasionally a program may require tickets. If a program requires tickets, it will be advertised on this event listing, on physical materials in the Children’s Room, on social media, and on flyers in the Library.

For the safety of patrons and staff, masks are strongly encouraged for ages 2 and older.

This event is generously sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundation.
