Dragonflies: Graphic Novel Bookclub

Even if your child does not get a spot in the program this session, by registering for the waiting list you are helping us gauge interest in this program for the future so we can adjust our program offerings to meet demand.
Are you a graphic novel fan? Our Dragonflies book club is a graphic novel book club for kids grades 1-4. This group meets for 45 minutes twice a month on Tuesdays from 3-3:45 PM in the Rabbit Hole on the ground floor of the Brookline Village Library. Each meeting includes a discussion of the book and an activity.
The session dates for this program are: September 26, October 10, October 24, November 7, November 21, December 5 and December 19.
Books for meetings will be available for pickup at least two weeks in advance of each meeting at the Children’s Desk. When you pick up your book, you’ll receive a bookmark with prompts that you can fill out while you read to help you come to the meeting ready to discuss!
Our books are:
September 26: Max Meow: Cat Crusader by John Gallagher
October 10: Monster Friends by Kaeti Vandorn
October 24: Sir Ladybug by Corey R. Tabor
November 7, November 21, December 5 and December 19: Books for these meetings will be voted on and chosen by book club members!
This program requires registration and has limited capacity. Please visit Eventbrite to register! If registration fills, there will be a waitlist. By registering on Eventbrite, you are registering for all 7 sessions. Registration begins on Monday, August 28 at 6 PM.
Registering for this program indicates a commitment to attend the book club meetings. Please do not register for this program if your child will miss more than one meeting. If your child misses a second club meeting, their spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list. We understand that illness and emergencies occur – if an absence due to unforeseen circumstances is communicated to staff, it will not be considered a no-show.

The Brookline Village Rabbit Hole, home to the ideaSPACE, is located on the ground floor of the Brookline Village Library. To access, use one of the main entrances, which are equipped with ramps and door openers, followed by the elevator in the atrium.
