Outdoor Earth Day Seed Planting Program

Come plant seeds with us to help us celebrate Earth Day on Friday, April 22 from 2:30-3:30 PM! We’ll be planting flower and vegetable seeds in recycled containers that can be taken home. There will be some containers available, but you are also welcome to bring your own plastic, aluminum/tin, or glass container. (Anything from an individual yogurt cup to a 20 ounce tomato tin/yogurt container should work well!) Recommended for kids ages five to nine and their families.

This is a drop-in program, so you can stop by anytime during the 2:30-3:30 PM window. It will be happening outdoors at the Brookline Village Library in our Children’s Garden (the fenced-in area near the entrance to the Children’s Room). If the weather is not suitable for an outdoor program, the program will be moved to Hunneman Hall. Any location change will be announced on Library social media and this event listing will be updated.

This program is a collaboration with the organization Mothers Out Front. They invite you to check out Brookline’s Front Yard Tree Planting Program

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.
