Eclipse Exploration for Everyone

Image of a solar eclipse, a black background with a black circle that is illuminated from behind.

On Monday, April 8 2024 the US will experience a total solar eclipse! In Brookline, we’ll experience approximately 92% obscuration of the sun. Join us on Saturday, March 9 in Hunneman Hall  to start preparing for the eclipse! We’ll learn what creates the conditions for a solar eclipse, create an eclipse-themed craft, and take a closer look at the sun through sunoculars and a solar telescope.*

This program is for adults and kids of all ages. Kids under 9 should be accompanied by an adult in Hunneman Hall.

*Sunoculars and solar telescopes are designed to allow people to safely view the sun. Do not look directly at the sun with regular binoculars or telescopes.
