Kids ideaSPACE: Eclipse Exploration

Image of a solar eclipse, a black background with a black circle that is illuminated from behind.

On Monday, April 8 2024 the US will experience a total solar eclipse! In Brookline, we’ll experience approximately 92% obscuration of the sun. Join us on Wednesday, March 6 in Hunneman Hall  to start preparing for the eclipse! We’ll learn what creates the conditions for a solar eclipse, create an eclipse-themed craft, and take a closer look at the sun through sunoculars and a solar telescope.

This program is for kids ages 5-9. While you’re welcome to drop-by between 3 and 4 PM, we recommend you come at 3 and stay for the duration of the program. Kids under 9 should be accompanied by an adult in Hunneman Hall.

This event is generously sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundation.
