Tai Chi Class MOVED INDOORS
PLEASE NOTE: The class has been moved to its rain location at the Coolidge Corner Library due to the forecast.
Cloud Hands, a movement taken from the longer Tai Chi set, is perhaps the one movement that is most representative of the art of Tai Chi. In itself it is a complete exercise with a lot of the benefits of the full Tai Chi form but is easier to learn and can be done in a smaller space. In this one hour overview we will build this movement up from its component parts to learn this beneficial health exercise.
Instructor Anson Rathbone became an acupuncturist after pursuing an interest in various Chinese therapeutic movement exercises for several years that he learned from a number of teachers. Taiji Chuan and various styles and forms of Qi Gong and Dao Yin comprise most of what he learned. He has long held to the ideal of, when possible, putting effective traditional methods for health restoration and maintenance into people’s hands so that they may use them to sustain their wellbeing.
This event will take place in Winthrop Square Park (St. Paul Street & Browne Street); in case of rain, it will take place at the Coolidge Corner Library.
