Would you like to cook more creatively, save grocery money, and keep food out of the trash? Join a presentation with chefs and sisters Mei and Irene Li, authors of the new cookbook Perfectly Good Food. Mei and Irene will discuss ways to cook the food you already have and some of their favorite use-it-up recipes, with a special focus on reducing food waste around the holidays. They’ll share lots of tips and tricks (described as ‘quietly brilliant’ by the Boston Globe) for adaptable, flexible, and fun cooking from their work as professional chefs and cookbook authors.

Mei and Irene Li are two of the sibling co-founders of Mei Mei, an award-winning food truck turned restaurant turned dumpling company. Irene now leads Mei Mei and co-founded Prepshift, a workforce training consultancy that supports small restaurants and their teams to thrive sustainably and equitably. She sits on the boards of The Food Project, Haley House and Project Bread and is a 2022 James Beard Foundation Leadership Award winner. Mei is the founder of Food Waste Feast, a resource for flexible recipes, smart strategies, and chef tips to help people eat better and fight food waste. They are the authors of the award-winning book Double Awesome Chinese Food and the new cookbook Perfectly Good Food: A Totally Achievable Zero Waste Approach to Home Cooking
