Puppet Storytime with Leigh Baltzer (session 2)

A dark-haired woman stands with an open-mouthed smile projecting surprise and delight. She is surrounded by four puppets: a green and orange puppet on her left hand, a small fuzzy blue creature on her left shoulder, an orange Muppet style puppet on her right shoulder, and a dog beside her right hand.

The Public Library of Brookline and Through Me To You Puppetry invites you to join Newton and the gang for Puppet Story Time! Newton and his puppet friends take turns reading stories and singing songs in English and Spanish. At the end of the 30-minute show, his “Mom,” Leigh, gives the kids a brief demo of various puppet styles (moving mouth puppets, glove puppets, arm & rod puppets, finger puppets). Participants will have an opportunity to explore some of the puppets Leigh & Newton bring to share during Puppet Free Play! Intended for ages 2-6. No registration required, although capacity in the program room is limited due to room safety requirements, so tickets can be picked up on a first come, first served basis at the children’s desk starting at 2:30 PM on the day of the event.

This event is generously sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundation.
