CANCELLED: Raising Your Voice with Nicolette Nordin Heavey

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Raising YOUR Voice: Do you want to be really heard when you talk? Talk in story!

Nicolette Nordin Heavey guides young adults to take a meaningful experience/point of view and craft it into a short (5 minutes or less) personal narrative that grabs people’s attention, keeps them engaged and leaves them understanding you/your point of view better. Think public speaking is really not your thing? This workshop is also helpful as a pre-writing exercise for personal essay. Plus, the activities are interactive and creative.

Open to tweens (going into grades 5-7) and teens (grades 8-12).

Nicolette Nordin Heavey is a talented storyteller with a passion for crafting folktales and narratives that connect with her audiences, both young and not-so-young. Nicolette’s storytelling is an interactive experience. Her infectious energy and animated delivery have made her a favorite in the Greater Boston area.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.
