Silk Painting – Flower Magic

Unleash your creativity in this hands-on batik workshop led by local artist Lidia Mikhaylova! Through simple techniques, you will experience how paint lives and reacts on a silk canvas as you transform your feelings into flowers.

Lidia Mikhaylova, whose paintings were on display at the Coolidge Corner Library last fall, was born and raised in Russia. After working in the corporate world as a lawyer, she decided to move to Riga, Latvia, to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming an artist. There she became inspired by the colorful imagery of her surroundings and fell in love with painting. Learn more about Lidia on her website.

This workshop is limited to 12 participants. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis, beginning as soon as the Library opens at 1 PM.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.
