The Great Sonatas: A Piano Solo Concert

Brookline Music School piano faculty member Young Woong Cho presents masterpieces written for piano. This concert will feature masterpieces by J. S. Bach, Nikolai Medtner, Frederic Chopin and Sergei Rachmaninoff. The program will cover Baroque period (Bach), Romantic (Chopin), Russian (Medtner and Rachmaninoff) styles. The year 2023 is the 150th anniversary year of Rachmaninoff’s birth, and his piano sonata No.2 will be the climax of the concert. This will be a rare opportunity to hear piano music in contrasting styles.
