Working with Dangerous Animals – Hybrid

Venomous snakes, massive pythons, alligators, and polar bears, oh my! Join us for a hybrid presentation with Joy Marzolf from Joys of Nature to discover what it’s like to work with dangerous animals. Find out what some scientists are learning about venomous snakes by studying them in the wild and captivity. Learn how animal keepers and scientists stay safe when working with captive alligators or wild crocodiles. Why is it important to train captive polar bears, sea lions and even sea otters in zoos? Don’t miss meeting some live animals at the end, including Penelope the alligator!

This is a hybrid program. You can join us in-person in the Putterham Library Meeting Room, or you can attend this program virtually on Zoom. Registration is required for Zoom attendance. Click here to register for this program.
