Workshop: Learn all you can about heart attacks and how to do CPR
A heart attack is scary. If you’ve had one or are close to someone who has, you’re not alone. Many people survive a heart attack and go on to enjoy productive lives.
It is crucial to catch the signs early. The American Heart Association recommends that we learn the symptoms of heart attack and have it checked out even if we’re not sure it’s a heart attack. Because, in the event of a heart attack, minutes matter; fast action can save lives – maybe your own. And it is essential to Call 911 if you experience heart attack warning signs. It’s almost always the fastest way to get lifesaving treatment.
This Workshop will focus on learning the signs of a heart attack, why it is vital to act fast and call 911, and access resources available to prevent and manage the recovery from a heart attack to become empowered to live healthier and longer.
The Heart of a Giant Team trains participants on the signs of a heart attack and how to do CPR, distributes heart health educational materials, provides tips on healthy living, and shares giveaways.
