Hogwarts at the Library
Diagon Alley awaits at our 2019 Hogwarts at the Library event for all ages!
Join us to venture through our magical shops and activities.
The event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Library, without which we’d all be left wandering trying to find the entrance to Diagon Alley. To find out more about the Friends and how they support our library, please visit their website here.
Registration starts Wednesday, October 16 at 6 PM.
Come back and register then!

Two events, two age ranges
KIDS & FAMILIES: The all-ages event, taking place from Noon-6 PM in three specific time slots, is for kids and families with activities for younger fans up to 8th grade (up through age 13). Children under the age of 2 do not need a ticket.
This event is expressly for our young fans, so we request that all adults must be attending as chaperones for our younger attendees. We expect adults to stay with their children for the duration of the event.
To register for the afternoon family event, head over here.
TEENS 9th GRADE (13 years old) and UP and ADULTS: Our evening event, 7-9 PM, is limited to teens in grades 9 (age 13) and up through adults. To register for that event, please register over here.
IF YOU SIGN UP FOR THE INCORRECT EVENT, let our ticketing team know ASAP at email@example.com and we will adjust your registration.
If all spots sell out, a waitlist will be started. If any attendee cancels their registration, those on the waitlist will be notified as soon as possible by email.
The waitlist will only allow one person to register with each spot that opens up. For that reason, please add all names in your group to the waitlist!
You will have one (1) day to register off of the waitlist, so please be prompt in responding to the notification email.
If you end up on our waitlist, you will be notified if a spot becomes available by Saturday, November 9 at 5 PM.
Do I need to register to attend?
Yes. You must have a wristband to enter the event, and you may only get a wristband through registering.
Does this event cost money?
Registering and attending are free, thanks to the generous support Friends of the Brookline Library.
How many tickets are available?
There are 200 spots available for Hogwarts Students for each time slot, with a total of 600 slots available between noon and 6 PM. When you register, you will need to include all members of your group, including Hogwarts Students AND parents and chaperones, and you will need to select one two-hour time slot.
You will be able to register four Hogwarts Students at one time and up to two parents or chaperones, for a total of six people.
How and when do I pick up my ticket packet?
Ticket packets will be available starting Monday, October 28 at 10 AM, and will be available through the day before the event, Saturday, November 9 at 5 PM. You can pick up your ticket packet at the Reference Desk on the first floor of the Brookline Village Library.
To pick up your ticket packet, please know the name of the person who registered for the tickets and, if possible, bring in their ticket barcode as a printout or on your mobile device.
What will we be doing at the event?
As in previous years, there will be a range of activities around the library that will present challenges for each attendee or group to test their skills in training exercises. You’ll discover the specifics of each challenge in your ticket packet, and staff will be directing attendees throughout the event.
