Join the 2025 Summer Reading Program with the Public Library of Brookline! Explore the wonderful world of reading this summer with exciting programs and fun prizes. The program is open to community members of all ages, from kids through adults.

Join magician Mike Bent of AbraKidabra for a magic show that will keep you entertained and amazed – and might even give you an opportunity to be the magician’s assistant! Capacity is limited due to room safety requirements, so tickets can be picked up on a first come, first served basis at the children’s desk starting at 3:30 PM on the day of the event. This program is intended for children ages 4+ and their families.

Join us at the Putterham Library on Thursday morning to decorate the sidewalk with chalk!

This program is recommended for children ages 5 and up.

Calling all fairy folk! Join us from 3:30-4:30 PM Thursday, July 10 in the garden outside of the Children’s room to build fairy houses out of natural materials. This is a drop-in event for kids ages 5-9.
