Shared Habitat Earth: Art and Activism

Artists touch hearts and raise awareness, inviting us to look and see. Activists engage directly, through hands-on work, advocacy, and legislative action. And sometimes art and activism are so intimately connected, it’s hard to tell the difference!

Come celebrate Earth Day with artists and activists in conjunction with the group exhibit Shared Habitat Earth (SHE), on view at the Coolidge Corner Library April 16-June 30. This virtual panel features speakers from SHE, Mothers Out Front Brookline, and Surfrider Foundation Massachusetts. Hear how one artist went from painting to activism, and how another uses discarded plastics to create art. Feeling inspired?
